How to access App preferences?
a) Use this shortcut CTRL + , (on Windows or Linux) CMD + , (on Mac)
b) Click on "Avocode" in the top bar of your Avocode window (on the left of the bar) and select "Preferences".
UI font size
The font in the Avocode app can be changed from Normal to Large.
Switch between Dark and Light theme
By default, the look of Avocode is set to white (Light theme). If you prefer a dark look (for example to match the Night mode on macOS Mojave), you can.
Default export path
Set up a path to a folder on your computer where you'd like to save all exported image assets. This default path will be pre-set for all new projects that you create within your team.
- You can also change export path for each project or save exported image assets into separate folders: just add a common slash / in front of the image asset name, it will add it into a special folder. For example, when you name an asset: /2x/image - Avocode will create a folder “2x” and add the asset called “image” inside. If the folder “2x” already exists, Avocode will simply select it and insert the asset called “image” inside. This is especially handy for saving assets in different resolutions in separate folders.
Disable image export optimization
By default all your exported image assets (to PNG, JPEG, and SVG) will be optimized. If you want to export the image without optimizing the file size, just disable the optimization.
Disable sharp vector rendering over 100% zoom
Enable high-density design rendering
If you turn it off your designs may not look extra sharp on your Retina display.
Overwrite file if exists
Check this option, if you don’t want Avocode to ask you to overwrite files while exporting images with the same name that is already in the export folder.
Disable all sounds
Switch of all sounds - like the success ping when you upload a design.
Drag selection must contain and entire layer to be selected
If you turn it on you will need to drag the selection over the entire layer to be selected.
If you turn it off, you can drag the selection to just a part (at least one pixel) of the given layer (you basically just touch it) and it will be already counted into your selection (so you can export it, see common styles, etc.).
Hide Move tool tip in Comment mode
This speaks for itself.
Don’t ask when importing files with same name
Check this option, if you don’t want Avocode to ask you to overwrite files while importing design with the same name that is already in the project.
Show relative units when using Measure tool
Check this option if you want the Measure tool to display percentage values.
Use proxy server
In order to connect your proxy server, read this article.
Note: These settings are not available in the web version of the app:
